Both a love song and a lament, Twist considers the fragility and vulnerability of the flower in contrast to its ability to endure and thrive in unfavourable environments. Twist invites us to accept the loss of the structural beauty of the complete flower whilst marvelling at the stamen and pistil that will ensure the next generation is secured.
